Aaron Remington I needed the money. That’s the only reason I ever signed up for that stupid reality TV show. I wasn’t looking for a wife, I wasn’t looking for love, and I certainly wasn’t interested in any of the bimbo contestants they picked out for me. I was set to live with ten girls in a mountain retreat near my hometown in Alaska for a month. I was supposed to fake it until I found my “bride”, film the final episode, and walk away a free man with a hundred grand cash in my pocket. Just enough to pay the back taxes owed on my family’s lumber mill and keep running things for them. But I hadn’t counted on meeting her. A slick Hollywood TV producer who somehow managed to steal my heart, mess up my plans, and bumble the entire thing by being infuriating and so goddamned irresistible. Reagan Black I needed this job so bad I could do anything for it. So what if it was taking place in some dirty little town in the middle of no man’s land, Alaska? Who cares if it meant leaving my life and friends and LA behind for a month? I had to prove that I could do this on my own and succeed not just because my daddy was Pavel Black, the biggest movie producer Hollywood had ever seen. What I didn’t expect was to find myself out there in the middle of the woods in the strong, muscled arms of a big, bearded lumberjack. And I never expected to be put in a position where I had to choose between the maddeningly sexy star of our hit show and the career I had always wanted. Can love win?

I absolutely loved this story. Reagan had a horrible day, the one show she was producing ended up in a horrible disaster and now only had two weeks to redeem herself on TV. Melanie, her closest friend and confidant talked her into going to a new club Lynx and while they were having drinks a huge good looking man appeared in their vision, he was over six and a half feet tall and looked like Paul Bunyan to them. Reagan caught his eye and almost fell all over herself when her mouth dropped open at the site of such a wonderful specimen of a man right there in front of her. Aaron was having a bad day, he came from Alaska to figure out what had happened to Axel his younger brother, he needed to find him and find him fast, he absconded with all the money and disappeared from sight. Aaron turned to go sit at the bar with Axel's agent who was trying to talk him into getting into show business to get the money he really needed right now. Melanie and Reagan came up with a show that could fix everything, Aaron could get his money and Reagan could have a #1 his show, she needed to sell this to Aaron who was determined to leave town that night and go back to Alaska, he couldn't stand being in the city and especially not LA. Reagan called the agent to try to pitch her thought about the TV show to him and ask him for Aaron's phone number, he refused but he did provide her with his flight and she made it to the airport before he was to board the plane but nothing she said seemed to make a dent in his resolve, but then all of a sudden he changed his mind, what did she say to him, whatever it was he didn't go back to Alaska, however, the looks between the two of them caused some eruptions within each of them, however, Reagan was trying to be all business but did it work, did she and Aaron strike a bargain, did he stay or did he go, this one is great, some humor where I broke out laughing so hard, some seriousness too, and many other things thrown into the mix, however, the ending is great.

If I could give more than 5 stars on this one I definitely would! There's just something above a hard working, bearded man that turns me on and this story did not disappoint. I definitely went through all of the emotions throughout the pages of this book from hot and steamy to jealousy, to anger and frustrations, truly an amazing, must read book!
Reagan was a producer in Hollywood that recently had a show flop. She really needed a hit show. Her best friend and co-worker had the idea of doing a bachelor show, but with a lumberjack that she found in the bar they were at. Aaron needed the money for his family business and agreed to do the show in Alaska. The tension between Reagan and Aaron was palpable and oh so good. The book was endearing, funny, sweet and hot. I loved the book and I thoroughly recommend you read it. You'll be looking for your own lumberjack, like I am.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Based on the blurb and other word of mouth, I thought it would be a quick, 'fluff' read, but I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and their motivations were clear. Although I thought Reagan's focus on her career didn't quite ring true some of the time. Aaron's desire to protect his family and the family business was obvious. The conflict between their feelings for each other and the need to continue the filming of the show created angst, without being quite so overdone. I would definitely read another book by this author.
Reagan and Aaron’s story was sexy and sweet. Even with a few editing issues, Lumberjacked was a fun read. Besides the lust/love that grew between them during the taping of a Bachelor-type reality show, it was also nice to see how they handled certain people in their lives (Reagan’s dad and Aaron’s psycho ex-girlfriend). To me, one of the most poignant lines in the book was when Reagan thought that Aaron had cheated on her
By the time I was home, I remembered why I loved my city so much. It was so easy to numb a broken heart in a place where nobody knew you. It was so easy to get lost in the crowd and forget who you were and how you loved a man with incredible eyes, huge muscles, a glorious beard, and a liar’s heart.
Fortunately, Reagan was incorrect about Aaron’s heart!
I love pets in romances, and Reagan had a cute dog named Tiger, who was a farting French bulldog. 3.5 stars, even with the book cover featuring a brunette woman; Reagan was a blonde.
I've noticed that writing romance books that have a "lumberjack" or mountain man theme has become a trend.I have a couple of others like this that I have yet to read. However, I am a loyal fan of Alexandria Hunt aka Olivia Long, aka, Olivia Hawthorne (Boss Brothers, Double Trouble, Unrelated and Bookish are my favorites), so I one-clicked her Lumberjacked and got no less than I expected, a really cute story. Yes, there are plenty of books that have the "reality show" element in them, but I like the way Alexandria put her spin on it. The title made me think of Paul Bunyan, a ginormous man in a flannel shirt and jeans, going through a forest with his axe, chopping down trees, lol. Aaron chops down trees in a modern way...he owns a sawmill. I pictured Brock O'Hurn or Ben Dahlhaus (I think it's spelled that way) as my Aaron. He has three brothers and I really hope that each one has a book in the works ( hopefully after Alexandria releases more of her Rough Stock series). I'd love to read about each of the brothers finding love in an Alaskan setting because it's such a beautiful place and a nice change from the New York or California setting that most books use.
